The Marlyn Fein Chapter of the Board of Associates will be gift wrapping from Thursday, February 9 through Tuesday, February 14 during regular mall hours at the Willow Grove Mall on the first level near Macy's. Stop by to have your Valentine's Day gifts wrapped for a good cause. Proceeds will benefit cancer research at Fox Chase. This grand event is hosted by Julie Cramer whose life was impacted by GIST, a cancer of the gastrointestinal system, through the unfortunate passing of her father Mark Becker in 2009. In honor of her father and now in his memory, Julie will again host this important fundraising event in support of GIST research at Fox Chase. The evening will include dinner, dancing, silent auctions, raffles, music and of course casino games. Tickets are $125 including wine and beer. This inspirational event attracts hundreds of members of the community to honor breast cancer survivors in a special way, all while raising critical funds for breast cancer research at Fox Chase. The evening kicks off with a cash bar and Chinese auction, with dinner and a fashion show to follow. Tickets are $50 per person with open seating, and all proceeds benefit Fox Chase Cancer Center. Join in a fun-filled day of friendly competition while raising money for a great cause and honoring the life and legacy of L.A.O.H. member JoAnne Duffy. Registration is $20 per person, with six players to a team. Following the tournament, join in the after party at Curley's Pub, located at Krewstown and Bloomfield Streets in Northeast Philadelphia. Linwood, NJ 08221Join members of the Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union for a great event for a wonderful cause - the 5K Run/Walk for the Marianne DiNofrio Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation. Marianne, who founded the credit union with her husband, was a beloved and respected member of the Linwood community, who also worked at Seaview Elementary School for 35 years. Despite her valiant battle, Marianne succumbed to pancreatic cancer in July 2009. Through this event, her friends and family honor her life and legacy, and help others battling this devastating disease. Registration is $25 in advance, $30 the day of the event with a portion of the proceeds benefitting pancreatic cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
