Get Involved
Advocacy groups are forming, both for neighbors and local businesses.
What You May Want to Do as Part of an Advocacy Group:
- Build support and understanding among your family, friends and neighbors
- Communicate accurate information about Fox Chase’s regarding the expansion
- Voice support to appropriate audiences, including the media, family, friends and neighbors
- Write letters of support to state and local government
- Organize and sign petitions
- Send ‘letters to the editor’ to local newspapers
- Spread the word about Fox Chase’s national reputation to family, friends and neighbors
- Explain to family, friends and neighbors that the expansion is truly a “win-win” scenario for the hospital, its patients, potential employees and the City of Philadelphia
- Post lawn signs supporting Fox Chase Cancer Center
- Expansion Would Use Only 19.4 Acres of the 69-Acre Park
- Ryerss' Will Only Included 45 Acres of Parkland – the City donated the rest. The land remaining after the lease would be larger than originally donated by Ryerss
