The Dragon Boat Festival is a popular event every October

The Dragon Boat Festival happens along the Schuylkill River every October. Since the first event in 2002, festival participants and supporters have raised more than $1 million for Fox Chase. Thank you to the teams and all who support Fox Chase Cancer Center through this event.

Breast Cancer Support Group

This is an open-ended support group for any woman with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Women can join at any time during or after treatment for support, information and sharing. 
Monthly, 6:30-8 pm, Areas B and C in the West Building Waiting Room.

Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia holds special events all year to provide cancer education and to benefit the Center. Funds raised go to cancer research, prevention and treatment at Fox Chase. BreastFest Philly 2014

In honor of breast cancer month this October, help spread awareness and raise funds for Fox Chase all while having a great time!  Join the Tyanna Foundation on October 11 at Mad River Manayunk for BreastFest Philly, an afternoon festival of great music, drinks, food and fun.   This year’s event  will feature live music from Sin Brothers, Alice’s Garage, Northern Rednecks, and The Whitewalls plus acoustics by Skinny Cool Kid & Owl Camino.  Enjoy great food, open bar of beer and specialty drinks, raffles, silent auction and more!  Tickets are $45 in advance, $55 at the door and $30 for students with valid college ID, with all proceeds benefitting breast cancer treatment and prevention programs at Fox Chase.  For more information or to purchase tickets, visit  

Marigold Memorial Charity Chili Cook-Off

Strap on your aprons and grab your cookbooks because you’re invited  to the 8th Annual Marigold Memorial Charity Chili Cook-Off!  Hosted by Faith Gold, the event honors the life and legacy of her mother – Mary Gold – who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2010. Mary had a passion for cooking and even participated previously in this annual event.  For $25, you can submit your tastiest chili recipe in the contest, or serve as a judge and pay $5 and give your taste buds a workout.  All proceeds will benefit Fox Chase Cancer Center’s breast cancer research and prevention programs.  For more information or to register,  call 609-351-5777 or email
