Fox Chase Cancer Center Board of Associates Chapter Presents Annual Contribution
PHILADELPHIA (October 25, 2005) -- Janet Engstrom of Ambler, Pa., president of the Fox Chase Chapter of Fox Chase Cancer Center's volunteer Board of Associates, presented a check for $33,000 to Margaret Merjanian, president of the Center's volunteer Board of Associates. The donation represents the chapter's fundraising efforts for the past year and is part of the $1,035,000 raised by the entire Board of Associates. These proceeds will benefit cancer research and patient care at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Fox Chase Cancer Center's Board of Associates is a volunteer group with eight member organizations, representing more than 800 volunteers in the five-county Delaware Valley area who conduct fundraising and educational activities in support of the Center. In 2005, the Board of Associates celebrated its 40th anniversary of service to the Center. The cumulative total of giving is $14,209,354.
