Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of John C. Ruckdeschel, MD, FACP, FCCP, as a Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology.

Fox Chase Cancer Center, part of the Temple Health, has received a five-year renewal of its prestigious Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), reaffirming its designation as an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center—an elite status held by only 57 centers nationwide.

In a study recently published by researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center, patients being treated for retroperitoneal sarcoma at multiple facilities experienced longer delays between diagnosis and treatment and traveled farther to receive treatment, but their overall survival rates were equivalent to patients receiving nonfragmented care.
