Together Facing Lung Cancer will be an informative and inspirational event to honor those affected by lung cancer.  Guests are asked to submit photos for a video montage to celebrate and remember all those impacted by lung cancer. Guests will also meet Denise Nakano, NBC10 weekend news anchor/reporter, who will share her personal story of her mother’s diagnosis of lung cancer. Finally, a lung cancer patient will share her journey with this disease through her message of hope.

“I am honored to be a part of this event that highlights lung cancer survivors and their friends and family,” said Nakano. “I know firsthand the overwhelming impact cancer can have on a family. I hope that this event encourages education of the risk factors and symptoms of lung cancer and the importance of taking action now.”

“I am proud to support Together Facing Lung Cancer to honor those affected by lung cancer,” said Diane Blick, a lung cancer survivor. “Through these educational events, people can learn more about lung cancer and the unique challenges we face daily – and expresses that our lives continue as normally as possible despite our disease.”

The event is free and open to all. Registration and dinner opens at 5:30 p.m. and parking at Fox Chase is free. To register, visit foxchase.org/together or call 215-728-2666.
