Fox Chase Affiliations in National and Regional Programs

Fox Chase Partners

To make state-of-the-art cancer care and treatment widely available, Fox Chase Cancer Center initiated Fox Chase Network in 1986 (now named Fox Chase Cancer Center Partners). This first-of-its-kind network has established partnerships with highly respected community hospitals throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner hospitals work with Fox Chase Cancer Center to provide the highest-quality cancer treatment closer to patients' homes. Partner physicians take part in clinical trials of new cancer treatments and prevention methods and also in community-based Fox Chase programs to study cancer risks and lifestyle changes that may prevent cancer.

For more information, visit http://www.fccc.edu/partners/ or call 1-888-FOX CHASE (1-888-369-2427) for the Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner hospital nearest you.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network

To insure the highest-quality, most cost-effective cancer care based on state of-the-art treatment guidelines and outcomes research, Fox Chase is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network: the first program to link leading academic cancer centers in a nationwide alliance. Begun in 1995, NCCN is developing cancer-management strategies for large employers and third party payers.

Each NCCN member provides the full continuum of oncology services. These are being offered as a menu from which corporations, HMOs and other insurers can select services that meet their specific needs. For more information, see http://www.nccn.org or call 215-728-5273.

Oncology Physician Network

Medical oncologists at Fox Chase Cancer Center have joined forces with community oncologists in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware to form the Oncology Physician Network. This physician controlled independent practice association brings together oncologists with mutual practice philosophies and clinical guidelines.

OPN has single-signature contracting capability to negotiate patient-care agreements with health insurers and self-insured companies and group purchasing arrangements with pharmaceutical and medical suppliers.
