Fox Chase Cancer Center Offers Free Oral Screening Saturday, Feb. 20

PHILADELPHIA (January 19, 1999) -- Men and women who have noticed an unusual white or red patch in their mouth can receive free oral screening Saturday, February 20 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Fox Chase Cancer Center. If precancerous cells are detected in a person's mouth, he or she may be eligible to take part in a study aimed at preventing oral cancer.

Fox Chase Cancer Center is one of 35 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the nation. The Center's activities include basic and clinical research; prevention, detection and treatment of cancer; and community outreach programs.
