Cancer Information Service Offers Free Information About Inherited Cancer
Risks
PHILADELPHIA (August 31, 2000) -- The
Cancer Information Service at Fox Chase Cancer Center offers free information
over the phone about cancers which may be inherited such as breast and
ovarian cancer. If you have questions about your risk for these cancers
or have other questions about the disease, you can call 1-800-4-CANCER
(hearing impaired 1-800-332-8615). Trained, professional cancer information
specialists are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. and can help you in English or Spanish. The Cancer Information
Service is a program of the National Cancer Institute.
