Galvin Joins Fox Chase Cancer Center as Director of Technology Transfer

PHILADELPHIA (September 18, 2000) -- Frances M. Galvin of Glen Mills, Pa. joins Fox Chase Cancer Center as the director of technology transfer in the Department of Business Development, Planning and Regulatory Affairs. Galvin most recently was the director of technology development at MCP Hahnemann University also in Philadelphia.

Galvin received her BA in Human Biology from Brown University in 1991. After graduation, she spent five years as a research assistant at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Her work as a bench scientist focused on cellular immunology.

In 1996, Galvin took a position with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a licensing assistant, negotiating more than 150 agreements between the Institute and other academic, industrial and government institutions.

Galvin is currently working on her MBA in Finance from Temple University.
