Board of Associates' Trading Post Makes Annual Contribution to Fox Chase Cancer Center
PHILADELPHIA (October 31, 2001) — Margaret Merjanian of Paoli, Pa., president of The Trading Post thrift and consignment shop presented a check for $203,405 to Sandra Mann, president of the Board of Associates.
The Trading Post is one of eight volunteer chapters that make up Fox Chase Cancer Center's Board of Associates. The donation represents the consignment shop's fundraising efforts for the past year. It makes up part of over $651,405 raised this year by the entire Board of Associates and will benefit cancer research and patient care at Fox Chase Cancer Center. The check presentation took place at the Board of Associates' October meeting.
Fox Chase Cancer Center's Board of Associates is a volunteer group with eight member organizations, representing more than 700 volunteers in the five-county Delaware Valley area who conduct fundraising and educational activities in support of the Center.
