Fox Chase Cancer Center Announces 3rd Annual "Paws for the Cause"
PHILADELPHIA (October 27, 2001) - On Sunday, October 28, 9:00 a.m., Fox Chase Cancer Center sponsors its 3rd annual "Paws for the Cause" dog walk. This fun-filled day is dedicated to raising funds for the cancer prevention programs at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
This one, two, or three-mile walk will take place on the grounds at Fox Chase. The registration fee is $10 and pledges per mile are encouraged. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at Fox Chase Cancer Center (rain or shine).
Last year, dogs and their owners helped raise $13,000 for Fox Chase's cancer prevention research. With events like a dog-owner look alike contest, pet portraits, on-site vendors, and a showcase of amazing pet tricks, this year's event is certain to be fun for all, whether you have two legs or four. Fox Chase also welcomes the return of FOX Philadelphia's George Mallet, Paws for the Cause honorary chairperson.
