Golf Tournament Benefits Fox Chase Cancer Center Early Child Development Program
PHILADELPHIA (March 5, 2002) -- Golfers tee-it-up at the second annual "Creative Beginnings Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center Golf Outing" on Friday, April 26, 2002 at Willow Brook Country Club in Moorestown, NJ.
Creative Beginnings is the early childhood development program at Fox Chase Cancer Center for children of Fox Chase employees. The event is being organized by Ken Kucowski in memory of his wife, Mary, who died in December 2001 after a three-year battle with brain cancer. She was a valued member of the Fox Chase Cancer Center staff where she worked for 13 years. The Kucowskis have two children who have attended Creative Beginnings. The money raised from the tournament will be earmarked for playground equipment and renovations for the program.
