Director of Nursing at Fox Chase Cancer Center Selected as 2005 Best Nurse Leader by Advance Newsmagazines
PHILADELPHIA (November 7, 2005) -- Anne Jadwin, MSN, RN, AOCN, CNA, of Chalfont, Pa., director of nursing at Fox Chase Cancer Center has been selected by ADVANCE for Nurses newsmagazine as Best Nurse Leader for 2005 for the Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware regions.
"Anne's leadership, knowledge and skills make her a wonderful role model for oncology nurses at Fox Chase Cancer Center," said Jim Lynch, vice president of hospital and medical science administration. "By recognizing Anne with this award, ADVANCE is reinforcing the importance of these strong attributes and encouraging other nurses to aspire to this level of accomplishment in their profession."
Nominees were scored on the difference in patient outcomes, interpersonal relationships and professional development within their institution. Judges also looked at the effectiveness and efficiency of nursing units and the nominees contributions in the work environment as a whole.
According to clinical nurse specialist, Deena Dell, RN, MSN, AOCN, BC, at Fox Chase, "Jadwin is a great leader who excels in the art of communication. She motivates. She promotes a culture of openness, innovation and learning. She is a highly ethical person, demonstrating credibility and integrity at all times." Dell nominated Jadwin for the award, with such praises in her submission.
