Fox Chase Cancer Center's Tree of Life Ceremony Brightens the Holiday Season
PHILADELPHIA (Nov. 19, 2008) — Fox Chase Cancer Center invites members of the community to its annual Tree of Life ceremony on Wednesday, December 3 at 5:00 p.m. in the Fox Chase Cafeteria (333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia). The ceremony will honor all who have personally fought cancer in the past or present and will celebrate caregivers and survivors. The Tree of Life ceremony brings together Fox Chase patients, caregivers, researchers, donors, and medical staff in a moving tribute to those who have been touched by cancer. The event is FREE and open to the public.
The Tree of Life ceremony and campaign is sponsored by the Friends of the Hospital, a volunteer member organization of Fox Chase's Board of Associates, and helps raise funds for patient care at Fox Chase. All contributors and the names of those they honor or memorialize are inscribed in the Friends’ Book of Honor, which has a permanent place in the Durant Family Lounge in Fox Chase’s main lobby.
If you are unable to attend the Tree of Life ceremony, you can still honor loved ones by logging onto http://www.fccc.edu/helpingFoxChase/boardOfAssociates/friends.html and making a donation in their memory.
