Fox Chase Physicians Listed Among America's Top Doctors
PHILADELPHIA (January 26, 2009) — Fox Chase Cancer Center is well represented in the latest edition of America's Top Doctors, issued this month, with 29 physicians featured. The guide is published by Castle Connolly, a healthcare research and information company that works as a resource to help patients identify the nation's top doctors and top hospitals. It uses a physician-led research team to conduct an extensive screening process, which includes surveys of tens of thousands of physicians in medical leadership positions and private practice across the country, to identify specialists and subspecialists considered to be clinically outstanding by their peers.
The physicians listed in the guide were selected after peer nomination, extensive research and careful review and screening by a doctor-directed research team. The guide identifies more than 5,000 top specialists throughout the U.S. in more than 60 medical specialties and subspecialties for the care and treatment of more than 1,700 diseases and medical conditions.
