Partners Program Celebrates 25 Years!

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Fox Chase Cancer Center Partners. In 1986 Fox Chase Cancer Center Partners (then called Fox Chase Network) was the first known cancer affiliate network in the United States. Breast Care Coordinators/Navigators Orientation Manual

Fox Chase Cancer Center Partners has introduced a new resource to aid nursing professionals who are new to the role of being a nurse navigator in breast cancer. The "Breast Care Coordinators/Navigators Orientation Manual" is designed to help breast care coordinators and nurse navigators as they provide patient education, decision-making support, and overall coordination of care to breast cancer patients. It covers a range of topics, including breast cancer treatment options, symptom management, clinical trials, high-risk programs, and survivorship.

Nurses from Fox Chase Cancer Center collaborated with Fox Chase Cancer Center Partners nurses to develop the manual's content and provide editorial review. Funding for the manual's publication was provided by the American Cancer Society through a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer grant.
