Amy J Granquist, CRNA

As a registered nurse I worked both at CHOP and Temple Children’s in the pediatric ICU. I then spent a year working with adults in the ICU at Fox Chase Cancer Center. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in nurse anesthesia, I came back to Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Fox Chase is a unique hospital, in that we provide up to date research driven care while maintaining a friendly community hospital atmosphere.
As an anesthesia provider, I feel that the relationships we have with our patients are very important in providing the best possible care. We are there to help our patients through a very difficult time, as well as, provide the safest care possible throughout the operative period.
After practicing several years, I am now involved with the education of the nurse anesthesia students from the University of Pennsylvania. Along with Diane Gaw, I am the clinical coordinator for the students. We help mentor the nurse anesthesia students who rotate through Fox Chase. I also lecture the nurse anesthesia students at the University of Pennsylvania as a didactic faculty member. In this roll I teach renal and endocrine physiology with an emphasis on anesthesia implications.
