In 2006, I joined the department of medical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center as a hospitalist. The Fox Chase hospitalist service enhances the continuum of care by providing an additional level of support for patients who may be dealing with diseases in addition to cancer or suffering from complications of cancer or cancer treatments.
I work closely with Fox Chase oncologists to provide the most comprehensive inpatient care. We work together to treat the whole cancer patient, so whether admitted with pneumonia, blood clots, dehydration or any number of medical conditions, our patients receive complete care.
I am trained in internal medicine, but have always had a great interest in oncology, and I enjoy the continuity in caring for cancer patients. Working as a hospitalist at Fox Chase allows me to provide general internal medicine care to oncology patients ~ the best of both worlds!
