Adding a nurse practitioner to the ICU staff every weekday is just one way Fox Chase Cancer Center has demonstrated its commitment to improved patient care.

In this role, we collaborate with the ICU attending physician and assist in communication between the ICU team (bedside nurse and ICU attending) and the primary service of record.

We have a hands-on role helping with the medical management of patients using a team approach. My nursing experience in surgery and cardiology is beneficial when caring for ICU patients and communicating with their families.
