I have been working with patients with breast issues for over 10 years. I joined the Fox Chase team in 2011. I appreciate the opportunity to practice in a setting that offers sophisticated, cutting edge treatment in a warm, comfortable, family-centered environment.
My role involves evaluating patients with “potential” breast problems. I appreciate the ability to offer a prompt evaluation of the issue. If the evaluation results in a cancer diagnosis, I can easily connect the individual to the many wonderful resources available here at Fox Chase.
Another part of my role involves providing education and support during the surgical experience. The impact of a cancer diagnosis on a patient and family can be overwhelming. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to make that time more bearable.
I graduated from Villanova University in 2001 with a master’s degree in nursing/adult health nurse practitioner. I am nationally certified in Adult Health. I practiced at the University of Pennsylvania for most of my nursing career.
Prior to my Nurse Practitioner role, I worked as a nurse researcher on breast cancer prevention trials including the STAR trial (Study of Tamoxifen vs Raloxifen).
