I joined the medical staff at Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1999. I entered radiology because I love the diversity of the specialty and the consultative aspect of the field, "the doctor's doctor" idea. This means that my role is mainly to work closely with the rest of your doctors to determine your diagnosis, the stage (extent) of your cancer and how treatment affects it.

Important treatment decisions are based, in part, on your imaging results. As a physician specially trained in radiology, I use my expertise to correctly interpret these complicated findings. I enjoy comparing patients' imaging results with clinical findings to ensure that all possible diagnoses have been considered. This process takes place in collaboration with other members of your physician team. For patients, this translates to a more accurate diagnosis, which helps oncologists [cancer doctors] design more tailored treatment.

While much of radiology involves interpreting images, I also like the patient interaction afforded while performing procedures such as image-guided biopsies.
