As a palliative care physician I feel very privileged to be able to assist cancer patients on their journey through cancer.

Palliative care focuses on optimizing people’s function and comfort and in many situations is delivered at the same time when patients receive their cancer therapy. I enjoy working closely with a patient’s primary oncologist to help patients minimize the side effects of their treatment. My work focuses primarily on relief of cancer related pain and we strive to help patients manage their pain in the most effective and safe way. I also take care of growing number of cancer survivors who suffer from chronic pain.

I feel very fortunate to practice at Fox Chase Cancer center that has a long tradition of providing high quality palliative care to its patients. At Fox Chase Cancer Center palliative care is provided by a team of professionals that is also able to assist patients’ with difficult decision making and address patient’s psychological, social and spiritual concerns. We all work together towards enhancing the patient’s overall well-being.
