“Cancer is a devastating diagnosis,” Chalal notes. “By personalizing patient care, I can lessen that fear and anxiety, focus on the positive aspects of treatment, and help my patients live fully through treatment and beyond.”

Dr. Jo Ann Chalal treats patients with prostate and other urologic cancers, including bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. Chalal also has expertise in using the CyberKnife to treat various types of cancers as well as high-dose-rate brachytherapy for breast and gynecologic cancers.

Before coming to Fox Chase, she was medical director of the Robert J. Moonan Radiation Oncology Center at St. Francis Medical Center's Regional Cancer Center in Trenton, NJ. She also served as president and medical director of her own clinical practice, Regional Radiation Oncology, PA, in Trenton, NJ.
