Hello, my name is Lynn Chang and I am a Radiation Oncologist at Fox Chase Cancer Center. I was born and raised in Canada, and completed all my medical training in Canada as well. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to come to Fox Chase as a Clinical Fellow in 2012 and work with my great colleagues. Although my fellowship was mainly focused on breast and prostate cancers, I was able to gain experience in multiple disease sites and become Board Certified in the U.S. It was an immense honor to be offered a position in the Department of Radiation Oncology here.
My main area of practice is in palliative radiotherapy for metastatic disease, such as brain and bone metastases. I feel that this is such an important part of Radiation Oncology as we have the potential to make a huge impact on quality of life. The advantage of being at Fox Chase is that we have access to some of the best state-of-the-art technologies for treating metastatic disease, such as the CyberKnife and LINAC-based stereotactic body radiotherapy. I am also involved in treating breast cancers, which is an area of research interest for me.
Most of all, I enjoy the patient care aspect of Radiation Oncology, meeting new patients and their families and helping them through the difficulties surrounding a cancer diagnosis. I believe that every patient deserves to be treated with the utmost kindness and compassion, and it is truly a privilege to be able to care for patients in the way that we do. I look forward to meeting you and thank you for your consideration.
