• What is Risk Assessment?
  Your family history can play a part in your cancer risk. Learn about inherited genetic factors, and what you can do about your hereditary risk of cancer.
  
  These risk factors, when present, could increase an individual's chance of developing cancer. An important fact to remember when reading information about risk factors is that having certain risk factors does not mean that cancer will develop. Preparing for Your Appointment

There are some important things to do:

• Learn what to expect at your appointment
  Discover our high risk clinics. We comprehensively examine your profile for all cancer types, including — but not limited to — breast cancer, ovarian cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, lung, prostate cancer, and melanoma.
• Learn about the Health History Questionnaire (HHQ) and your family history
  Family risk assessment starts with your personal knowledge, then screening to check if you have these inherited risk factors.
• Prepare questions to ask your risk assessment team
  Bring your own or use our online notebook to remember concerns or questions for your risk assessment team.
