Postdoctoral Laboratory Research Program
HOW TO APPLY:
Eligibility
Appointments for postdoctoral training at Fox Chase Cancer Center can begin on completion of all requirements for the doctoral degree. Those appointed under the Center's training grant from the National Cancer Institute may have no more than three years of postdoctoral experience and must be U.S. citizens or nationals or have U.S. permanent residence visas. Other forms of appointment without these restrictions are available at most times.
Application
Send letter of inquiry and a CV to Dr. Ken Zaret at: Fox Chase Cancer Center, W410, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111. If a position in the investigator's laboratory is open, you will be invited to Fox Chase for an interview and to present an informal seminar on your doctoral thesis work. A long-distance travel allowance is available.
Stipends, Housing, and Benefits
Stipends range from $26,256 to $41,268, commensurate with postdoctoral experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance and a relocation allowance. Postdoctoral associates are eligible for low-cost housing near the campus and for the Center's day-care program for their children as vacancies become available.
Opportunities for Spouses
Fox Chase makes every effort to address the employment needs and skills of a postdoctoral associate's spouse. Often a spouse may fill a suitable opening at the Center. In addition, Fox Chase works with other area institutions to help find an appropriate position for a spouse who is new to the Philadelphia region.
