Kuang-Yi Wen, PhD

Research Interests

Dr. Wen is an Assistant Member in the Division of Population Science at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Her major interest is in drawing on her background in systems engineering, health communication, behavioral and decision science, and information technology to develop and evaluate effective tools and solutions to help individuals and organizations manage and deal with health-related challenges.

She is currently working within the Intervention Development and Measurement Core on a NCI-funded Cancer Information Service Research Consortium program project to develop three interactive multimedia programs to assist prostate and breast patients through their cancer diagnosis and breast cancer patients following completion of their treatment. She is also a Co-Investigator on two additional studies, one a Pennsylvania Department of Health Navigator grant to explore the adaptation of a cancer navigation system for application to diabetic care, and the other a study to develop and test a NCI-funded, web-based patient decision support module to facilitate decision making about breast cancer chemoprevention among women at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer.
