Joanne Hambleton, RN is Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Senior Vice President for Patient Services.
In 1975, Hambleton earned her BSN from Syracuse University and her MSN from Villanova University in 1989. She joined Fox Chase in February 1989 serving as the assistant director for nursing, the director of nursing and most recently the chief nursing officer.
Hambleton is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, a member of many nursing professional organization, is a board certified nurse executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a Johnson and Johnson –Wharton Nurse Executive Fellow.
Under her leadership, Fox Chase Cancer Center became the first hospital in Pennsylvania to achieve Magnet Status, the highest standard for excellence accredited by the American Nurses Association. Hambleton’s roles have given her a comprehensive understanding of the needs of oncology patients and families. She works in collaboration with all care providers to promote a culture of respect and understanding. She is dedicated to the promotion of patient and family centered care with a team approach to the delivery of high quality services.
