Fox Chase's Postdoctoral Program is Ranked Third in the Country by The Scientist's 10th Annual Best Places to Work for Postdocs Survey
(Mar 29, 2012)

“This year we have a remarkably strong showing in the survey,” says Glenn Rall, PhD, the associate professor who oversees the Postdoctoral Research Program at Fox Chase. “I think this reflects on our strong culture of mentoring, integration of basic and clinical research pertinent to cancer, and a common view that our postdoctoral fellows really are the engines of scientific progress.”

New technologies and cancer treatments

Whether it's technology, a new surgical procedure or an improved chemotherapy option, our treatments are based on years of research. At Fox Chase, research takes place with an unusually high degree of interaction between our basic researchers and our doctors. For this reason, we're able to bring laboratory discoveries to the forefront of patient care.

New technologies and cancer treatments often are available at Fox Chase before becoming standard practice in the community.

Clinical trials

Combining research in many disciplines with patient care enables Fox Chase to translate new research findings into medical applications that may become models for improved cancer care.

At any one time, about 170 clinical trials of new prevention, diagnostic and treatment techniques are under way. Fox Chase is also involved in developing trials to test new drugs that may prevent cancer in high-risk individuals.
