PHILADELPHIA (March 22, 2024) – Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University Hospital – Main Campus have been recognized by the QOPI Certification Program LLC as successfully completing a three-year recertification for outpatient hematology-oncology practices that meet nationally recognized standards for quality cancer care. The QOPI program is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Association for Clinical Oncology and an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

PHILADELPHIA (March 20, 2024) – The journal European Urology has named Fox Chase Cancer Center urologic oncologist Andres F. Correa, MD, its March 2024 Reviewer of the Month.

PHILADELPHIA (March 18, 2024) — Judy Loc, BSN, RN, could not make it to work on January 11, 2024, the day her son, Tyler Loc, BSN, RN, received his DAISY Award at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was home recovering from COVID-19, but she knew full well the mix of pride and appreciation of recognition that comes from receiving a DAISY Award, having won the award herself the previous January.

PHILADELPHIA (March 18, 2024) — Scientists at the Fels Cancer Institute for Personalized Medicine and the Department of Cancer and Cellular Biology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Fox Chase Cancer Center have developed a novel therapeutic strategy that attacks and destroys leukemia clones, an approach that could potentially prevent patients from relapsing after treatment.

PHILADELPHIA (March 13, 2024) — Anthony Villano, MD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, and Joceline Vu, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, were recently elected members of the Education Committee of the Association for Academic Surgery (AAS).

PHILADELPHIA (March 8, 2024) — Sanjay S. Reddy, MD, FACS, an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, was recently chosen as a participant in the Society of Surgical Oncology’s (SSO) inaugural Career Catalyst Mentorship Program.

PHILADELPHIA (March 1, 2024) — Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Cancer Epigenetics Institute will hold its fourth annual free hybrid Cancer Epigenetics Symposium at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia on Thursday, March 7. The annual event brings research leaders together to explore the latest discoveries that will assist in bringing epigenetics from the lab to patients.
