PHILADELPHIA (April 10, 2024) — Camille Ragin, PhD, MPH, Associate Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Fox Chase Cancer Center, received the American Association for Cancer Research’s (AACR) Minorities in Cancer Research Jane Cooke Wright Lectureship. She delivered the lecture at the AACR Annual Meeting 2024 being held in San Diego.

PHILADELPHIA (April 8, 2024) — In a study presented today at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2024, researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center showed that estrogen is metabolized extensively in both mouse and human lungs, ultimately contributing to the development of lung cancer in people who have never smoked. Investigators at Fox Chase are the first to report this finding.

PHILADELPHIA (April 8, 2024) — In a study presented today at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2024, researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center showed that in mice with a BAP1 germline mutation, even minimal exposure to chrysotile asbestos significantly increases susceptibility to the development of malignant mesothelioma. The study is being posted simultaneously online in Cancer Research Communications, a journal of the AACR.

PHILADELPHIA (April 4, 2024)—William Kaelin Jr., MD, physician, scientist, and Nobel laureate, was recognized today at Fox Chase Cancer Center with the Stanley P. Reimann Honor Award, the center’s highest distinction. The award was presented to Kaelin while he was visiting Fox Chase to deliver a scheduled lecture.

PHILADELPHIA (April 3, 2024) — It is official! The fundraising period has kicked off for Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Paws for the Cause 2024, presented by the Board of Associates. Supporters came together at a special tea in March to introduce this year’s event ambassadors and to sign up participants for this beloved dog walk, set for Sunday, September 15, 2024.

PHILADELPHIA (March 28, 2024) — Fox Chase Cancer Center is proud to welcome patients to its newly opened office, which is located at 502 Centennial Boulevard, Suite 7, in Voorhees, New Jersey. The site, which is the first that Fox Chase has opened in New Jersey, welcomes patients from within the region and beyond for treatment for urologic oncology, benign urologic conditions, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and radiation oncology consults.
